Modern HoReCa Furniture – Inspired by the Residence Beaux-Arts Project in Ghent
The Residence Beaux-Arts project in Ghent is an excellent example of how HoReCa furniture, high-quality EGGER worktops, and thoughtful design can create a space tailored to real business needs.
Developed as a boutique hotel concept, the complex combines:
- residential apartments
- assisted living facilities
- a restaurant
Spanning 2,670 m², the project includes 29 apartments and 18 assisted-living units. Completed in 2022, the development was designed with a strong focus on safety, material durability, and user comfort.
EGGER Worktops as a Key Design Element
Throughout the project, the H3734 ST9 Dijon Walnut décor by EGGER was used—a popular choice for restaurant and café worktops.
This material:
- creates a warm and inviting atmosphere
- gives interiors a premium appearance
- blends seamlessly with other design elements
Within the restaurant area, the décor was incorporated into:
- HoReCa worktops
- the chef’s station
- wall cladding
- window frames
- furniture and wine display cabinets
The warm walnut finish is complemented by green tiles and orange chairs, creating a vibrant contrast that highlights the contemporary character of the interior.
In areas with increased safety requirements, the Flammex variant was specified to meet fire safety regulations—an essential consideration for hospitality and food-service environments.
